Magnitude 6.1 earthquake hit  Santiago del Eastero region in Argentina today (Mar 5th)  at 07:46:09 UTC. The epicenter was located at 47 km (29 miles) WNW of Anatuya, Santiago del Estero, Argentina, 112 km (69 miles) ESE of Santiago del Estero, 250 km (155 miles) SE of San Miguel de Tucuman, Tuc. and 828 km (514 miles) NNW of Buenos Aires, D.F., Argentina (28.227°S, 63.242°W). According to USGS the epicenter depth was at 550 km (341.8 miles).

Very strong but also very deep earthquake which has weakened the impact to a max. very weak shaking for those people living above it. Considering the depth it was not felt by many on the surface.
