Shaking video of M 7.6 in Costa Rica on September 5, 2012
A major earthquake has struck Costa Rica – onshore with large magnitude, measuring M7.6 on September 5 at depth of 40 km. Here is a video showing a shaking caused by this earthquake.
The video above, from Ivan Arroyo, was shown at Earthquake-Report. It shows the intensity of shaking at various places. The strongest shaking can be seen in the second sequence and was recorded by a security webcam in a parking lot. In some material you can clearly see that the power goes down after a few seconds. In other video shots you do see people running outside, far more dangerous than hiding against an inner wall.
