The video by Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) combines three wavelengths with similar temperatures, highlighting different parts of the solar corona showing the Sun from September 1 through September 30, 2012. The start of the Fall Eclipse Season could be seen, when Earth moves in between the Solar Dynamics Observatory spacecraft and the Sun.
Twice a year, for three weeks near the equinox Earth blocks the view of the Sun for a period of time each day. The first day of fall 2012 was on September 22, 2012.
