Saharan dust blows off the coast of Mauritania
Golden sands from the Sahara Desert blow westward off the coast of Mauritania and the border zone by Western Sahara. Two main plumes can be observed, one north of the green waters of the Bay of Arguin and one to the south of it.
The monsoon through extends across West Africa into the far east tropical Atlantic. Also, an area of low pressure located over the east-central Atlantic about 800 miles SW of the western Azores is producing an area of gale-force winds north of the center. This system is in the process of acquiring frontal characteristics and development into a subtropical cyclone is not expected.

you would think that the Immans and learned persons of the Islamic nations would do land reclamation by piping water to the once lush areas of the Northern continent of Africa rather than fighting the Israelis who are making the desert bloom again.
The people of Timbuctu kept the sands back for a couple of hundred years until the Jihadist started destroying the work of centuries.
