Moderate solar flare reaching M5.9 erupted from AR 1762
Moderate M5.9 solar flare erupted from decaying Actve Region 1762 at 22:49 UTC on June 7, 2013. The event started at 22:11 UTC and ended at 23:04 UTC. This eruption hurled Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) into space, but considering the location of eruption, the plasma cloud was directed away from Earth.
This event was assiciated with R2 (Moderate) Radio Blackout level on NOAA Radio Blackout scale. At R2 level limited blackout of HF radio communication on sunlit side are possible wih loss of radio contact for tens of minutes. Degradation of low-frequency navigation signals for tens of minutes is possible.

Active Region 1762 is about to rotate off the visible disk. There are currently 3 active regions on the solar disk. They are all stable, classified as Beta. NOAA/SWPC forecasters estimate 15 % chance for an M-class event in the next 24 hours.
