Moderate M1.9 solar flare erupted from the vicinity of departuring regions 1879 and 1877 at the southwest limb. This latest event erupted at 13:51 UTC on October 31, 2013.

Solar activity was relatively calm in the past 24 hours compared to strong activity recent days.

There are currently, 6 visible sunspots on the Earth side of the Sun and only AR 1884 is Beta-Gamma-Delta class – capable of producing the strongest flares. A small new region formed near AR 1882 and was numbered 1888. NOAA/SWPC forecasters estimate 50% chance of an M-class and 10% chance of an X-class solar flares in the next 24 hours.
