Impulsive M1.1 flare erupted around western limb

An impulsive M1.1 solar flare was detected around departing Sunspot 1899 at 02:32 UTC on November 23, 2013. The source was actually a newly numbered Region 1904 (N12W60, Dai/beta-gamma). This region appeared to have enough of a separation in SDO HMI/Magnetogram imagery to be classified as a separate spot group from Region 1899 (N07W64, Hhx/alpha)

They are rotating around the west limb. NOAA/SWPC forecasters estimate 10% chance of an M-class and 1% chance of an X-class solar flare in the next 24 hours.
