The strongest July storm, since the records began in 1901, hit Netherlands this Saturday, July 25, 2015. One person was killed, road and train traffic was suspended across the country, and flights were delayed due to strong wind gusts.

Wind gusts across the coastal regions of the country reached the speeds up to 121 km/h (75 mph). A number of trees were uprooted, blocking the roads, and one person was killed when a falling tree hit his car, in the province of Gelderland. The Meteorological service, has issued a red warning, urging travelers not to drive due to heavy rain and gale-force winds.
