Meteor lights up early morning sky over Puget Sound, Washington
A bright meteor has lit up the early morning sky over Puget Sound, US state of Washington on June 10, 2016. The event happened around 11:35 UTC (04:35 local time) and was recorded by Darren Clayton.
Clayton was on his way to work, coming from Lake Stevens and heading toward the U.S. 2 Trestle when he recorded the following video. Jump to 0:53 to see the event:
There are no reports the meteor made it through the atmosphere, KOMO News reports. "Several other people reported the flash stretching from Snohomish through Pierce County," it added.
