Moderately strong M1.3 solar flare erupted from AR 2065
Moderately strong solar flare measuring M1.3 at its peak time erupted on May 24, 2014. The event started at 18:26, peaked at 18:35 and ended at 18:44 UTC.
The source was Active Region 2065 (beta) located near the western limb.
A 10cm Radio Burst event with peak flux of 229 sfu and lasting 3 minutes was associated with the flare event. A 10cm radio burst indicates that the electromagnetic burst associated with a solar flare at the 10cm wavelength was double or greater than the initial 10cm radio background. This can be indicative of significant radio noise in association with a solar flare. This noise is generally short-lived but can cause interference for sensitive receivers including radar, GPS, and satellite communications.

Region 2065 (S18W59, Dai/beta-delta) exhibited growth and developed a weak delta magnetic configuration in its trailer portion during last 34 hours. Region 2072 (S14, L=138) decayed to plage overnight. The rest of the regions on the disk showed slight growth but were unimpressive.
